Federal Reserve Audit Bill Overwhelmingly Passes The House
while they are at it… lets take a look at the house it self… get rid of all those taxpayer funded perks they have….
talk about gov waste….
first-class flights at taxpayer expense
axpayer funding for the Member gym, beauty salon, barber shop, and the House dining room
a loophole that allows Members of Congress to personally collect hundreds of thousands of dollars in agriculture subsidies
taxpayer-funded pensions for Members of Congress who become millionaire lobbyists
glossy, self-promotional mailers sent at taxpayer expense
keep their government health care
wasteful earmarks
Members of Congress have used their spending allowances (set aside for “official and representational expenses”) on luxury items such as high-end car leases for $24,730, flat screen televisions, digital cameras. One Congressman spent $84,000 on personalized calendars to send his constituents.
When a member of Congress dies in office, his or her taxpayer-funded salary ($174,000 or more) is paid in full to the surviving family for the rest of the year. But if an American soldier dies while on active duty (not in combat) the death benefit is $12,420. A death in combat results in a $100,000 death benefit for the family – still over 40% less than a Congressman’s family will get.
